Every raw material we use in our products are hand selected. Each ingredient must be shown by sound science to serve a valid purpose in the overall action of the product it is added to. It must also be acceptable from the perspective of holistic health disciplines like Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Combining the best of both modern and traditional medical systems means that each ingredient is the most effective in promoting optimal health for its given purpose within each formula.

Beyond GMP’s

We test every lot of each ingredient three times because anyone can make a mistake. A sample of each ingredient is sent to our extremely well-equipped in-house testing lab where it is tested for identity, heavy metals, and toxins. Then, we test it again two more times throughout the manufacturing process to make sure that the end result is exactly what it should be. Because of this, every product we make is 100% compliant with even the strictest regulations...

In 1986 California passed Proposition 65 in to law. Its goals are to protect drinking water sources from toxic substances that cause cancer and birth defects and to reduce or eliminate exposures to those chemicals...

In 2008, when the FDA announced new Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) for supplements, most of the industry complained. Pure Essence embraced the change and went much further than required. We decided to not only comply with every aspect of the new GMPs, but to also do everything else that falls within the purview of conscience and common sense.

To that end we began testing every raw material for lead, to be absolutely certain we have the industry’s cleanest supplements.

California’s Proposition 65 requires businesses to provide warnings to Californians about significant exposures to chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. Lead is one of these chemicals. Proposition 65 states that lead levels in any product may not exceed 0.5 mcg per serving. All of our formulas, continuously test at a much lower level than the 0.5 mcg per serving.
